Terms of service

Draft terms. A full Terms of Service is being prepared with legal review before commercial launch. The points below describe the working position; final terms will be published before any school is invoiced.

1. The service

LEP (Learning Evidence Platform) is a web-based writing-process capture tool provided by [Operator name] to Australian schools. The service is provided "as is" during the v0.x preview period.

The Pilot tier (one teacher, one class) is provided free of charge during the v0.x period. School-wide pricing is invoiced annually in advance per class. Payment terms: 30 days.

4. Data ownership

Schools and their students retain ownership of all content submitted to LEP. We act as a data processor only, in accordance with the published Privacy Policy and Compliance Report.

5. Service availability

We aim for 99.5% uptime during Australian school hours (8am–5pm AEST/AEDT, Monday to Friday during term). No formal SLA is offered during the v0.x preview period. A commercial SLA will be available with the v1.0 release.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by Australian law, our liability to you is limited to the fees paid for the relevant 12-month period. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or other applicable law.

7. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email at least 30 days before they take effect, giving you the option to cancel before the changes apply.

8. Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of [State to be determined], Australia. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
